الأجرومية

It is known that the science of grammar is from the noblest of sciences, due to its direct relationship to the Qur'an. For this reason, certain foundations have been placed for it, after careful examination of scholars. These foundations have further been arranged - to teach them and to preserve the Arabic tongue; and to understand the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger - in the form of Islamic poetic verse, along with explanations, to facilitate the study of grammar, and refuting those who maintain claim it is difficult. Ibn Ajroom is one of those who formulated an introduction to explain these foundations, in a facilitating manner, without prolongation and a lot of extra elements that have no benefit. From the best of explanations of al-Ajroomiyah, is the work of the distinguished scholar, Muhammad Saalih Al-Uthaymeen, and his explanation is distinguished by

  • The easiness that allows for the conveyance of information in the simplest way;
  • Abundance of examples;
  • Questions at the end of each lesson, which consolidate the student's

understanding.

For this reason, Fajr Center deems that this book should be available to its students studying grammar.

We ask Allah for success in all that is good.

Exercises for sound

Introduction to Listening Comprehension Phonetics and phonemic awareness are the first steps in listening comprehension. Several different types of technology are used for phonetics, for example: learning by way of Qur'anic verses; the use of smaller couplets in order to differentiate between the sounds which have similar articulation points; etc. There are 3 categories of phonetics exercises: listening exercises, differentiation exercises, and production exercises. Each phonetics and listening comprehension lesson is accompanied by a voice supplement, recorded by distinct Arabic names, and including color visual aids. The listening comprehension lessons are presented in different levels:

  • Words
  • Sentences and Phrases

The fold of the Arabic language has expanded dramatically; similarly, the eagerness of its non-native speaking students to learn it has grown as well.  The original Arabic dictionary, however, originally intended for Arabic speakers, failed to meet the requirements of non-native speaking Arabic language students.  Hence, it was of the utmost importance to compose a dictionary directed at those students, which takes into consideration their different needs and levels, and facilitates word search by introduction a new system of word order, as opposed to what was the norm in the older dictionaries, in which words are ordered according to their origins (roots), followed by their many different tenses and uses.
